Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend filled with fun and beautiful weather! Mary Pat had fun at school Thursday and Friday with an Easter egg hunt on the playground and a special Easter basket from her teachers. On Saturday we had a great time at Aunt Delores and Uncle Pat's house coloring Easter eggs with Big Papa, Pat, Aunt Amy, Uncle Johnny and cousins Emily and Patrice. The cousins even had matching outfits on (that Mommy and Aunt Amy didn't plan)!

Sunday we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had filled Mary Pat's basket with books, fruit snacks and goldfish, which all were a big hit. After church, Mommy, Daddy, and Mary Pat went into town to enjoy the Easter parade and even got to see the Easter Bunny! The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing and playing outside. Here are some pictures from the day.

In baby #2 news........there is no news. The baby boy is still waiting to make his appearance and will hopefully come sometime within the next week! We promise to keep the blog updated with any news. Being silly outside after church.
She loved the wind blowing her dress!
She thought it was hilarious.
Checking out the Easter Bunny at the parade in town (Mary Pat was not a fan).
Giving the Easter Bunny a high five.
Ready for school on Thursday.

Ready for Summer!

Last week, Nana sent Mary Pat a package that included some of big cousin Victoria's sunglasses. Well, Mary Pat could not try each pair on fast enough. She loved wearing the sunglasses and even gave me a few cheesy smiles when I took a picture! I think she's ready to lounge by the pool this summer.

Breakfast at the Big Girl Table

Nana bought Mary Pat her very own princess table during her last visit and Mary Pat LOVES it! At first, she just liked to push the chairs around the kitchen, but now she loves to eat her cheerios and drink her milk there in the morning while mommy is doing things around the kitchen. Thanks for the table Nana!
YUMMY......cheerios!
Shovelling it in!
This is her "stop taking pictures of me mommy" face.

Irish Eyes are Smiling!

Happy St Patrick's Day from our very own little leprechaun! We have been celebrating the past two weekends with the parade in Garden City, yummy corn beef and cabbage with Kelly & Kevin and a wonderful party at our friends Jen and Pete's house last Sunday. Mary Pat has her green on for school today and is hoping that Timothy (mom-mom's leprechaun) stops by for a visit later!
Clapping along to some Irish music.
Serious face.
Checking out Al's Guinness at Jen & Pete's St. Patrick's Day brunch!

Mary Pat's 1st Haircut!

On Saturday Mary Pat got her very first haircut! We went to a place called Zippity Doo's Haircuts for Kids and everyone there was very accommodating. Mary Pat got to sit in a pink Barbie Jeep and watch a video of her choice (Barney) while she got her hair trimmed. She was very serious the entire time and just watched her movie and sucked on her paci. I couldn't get a good picture of her looking at the camera or smiling. Her hair looks MUCH better now that it is trimmed, she was starting to look like a ragamuffin!

Here are a few more pictures from the haircut and other miscellaneous activities the past few weeks!
Sitting very still while the back of her hair was trimmed.
Very serious.
Relaxing a little bit and watching her video.
Zoned out watching the video at the end of the haircut.

More Snow

The last Friday in February we had another big snow storm (hopefully our last). Mommy & Mary Pat had another snow day and Mary Pat was very excited to head out into the snow and test her new sled from Nana. When Daddy got home he showed Mary Pat how to make a snowball and she had a good time with that until her hands got cold. We enjoyed the snow but are definitely ready for SPRING!!!
Once again the snow went past Mary Pat's knees.
Riding in her new sled from Nana!

Lazy Weekend

Two weekends ago we had a lazy Sunday and Mary Pat decided to rock her "casual look". What a better way to chill out than in her "I'd Rather be Hanging with My Uncle Knox" onesie! She was very excited to show it off in this picture right before her bath. Don't let the buddha belly fool you, she's in the 50th percentile for weight!
