New and Improved Bath Time!

Bath Time has started to look a little different around the Kolenik house. Michael has outgrown the baby bathtub and can now sit up well enough to go in the bath seat. He was not quite sure what to think of the new arrangement the first few times we tried him in the seat, however once Mary Pat joined in on the bath fun with all of her toys he seemed to like things much better! There is definitely a little bit of toy stealing that goes on but Mary Pat is starting to share a little bit more (at least while in the bath!). Mommy and Daddy haven't decided if this new arrangement is easier or harder than two separate baths.......only time will tell!
Michael wondering what kind of contraption Mommy has put him in now!
Still not so sure of this seat thingy.......
Help! Daddy is dumping water on me!
Wait a second.....if Mary Pat is in here with me there are toys?!?!
I like getting the toys to myself while Mary Pat is rubbing in her shampoo!

Pretty Slippers

Mary Pat was very excited to FINALLY be able to wear a pair of her big cousin Victoria's slippers! She refuses to take them off to sleep and is hilarious showing them off with her pajamas! In the picture below she is trying to show them to the camera. She is a funny little girl!

A Week of Halloween Outfits

For those of you who know Mommy well, it will come as no surprise to you that Mary Pat and Michael had a different Halloween themed outfit for each day of the week leading up to the 31st. With a few hand-me-downs from big cousin Victoria and a few special surprises from Aunt Charlene, the kids were definitely the best dressed kiddos at school that week! Mommy knows she has a problem but she just takes after Nana. Enjoy the daily pictures with many more to be found here.
Trying to get both kids to smile on Monday morning was not easy!
Mary Pat was a silly goose as usual, but Michael was not feeling the pictures.
Monday night, Michael decided to join Mary Pat at her princess table while she ate dinner.
Mary Pat was pretty excited to have Michael sitting at the table with her but didn't understand why Daddy kept holding on to his arm!

There's a little smile!

Mary Pat loved her pumpkin shirt and got tons of compliments on her cute pants courtesy of big cousin Victoria's closet!
Thanks for my cool jammies Aunt Charlene!
Mommy's precious boy.
The pictures skip to Friday since the kids wore their pumpkin picking outfits on Thursday and did not want to cooperate for more pictures.

Trick-or-Treat!!!!!!

We had a great day on Halloween going trick-or-treating after the kids woke up from their naps. We really enjoyed the beautiful weather although it was a little chilly and had fun going to houses around our neighborhood. Mary Pat got pretty good at saying "Trick-or-Treat" and always said thank you after receiving candy. Her princess outfit was a big hit and she got lots of candy! After walking around in our neighborhood a bit we headed over to visit Mary Pat's friend Katie from school. The girls LOVED playing with each other and doing a little more trick-or-treating. It was a fun time and we hope to do it again soon! More pictures here.

Mary Pat's Halloween Party

We kicked off our Halloween weekend with Mary Pat's party at school. All the kids dressed up earlier in the day to parade around the school and trick-or-treat in the various classrooms. After nap time the parents got to join in on the fun and celebrate Halloween with lots of snacks. Mommy had a great time with her pretty princess and Mary Pat liked celebrating with all of her friends.
The pretty princess was already pretty dirty by the time Mommy arrived.
She really enjoyed the icing on the cupcakes.
Showing off her tongue.
Having fun eating chips with her friends Emelia.
