The Stroller Car!

When Victoria was younger, Leenie gave her a wonderful Step One car that she could "drive" (a.k.a. be pushed) while on walks around the neighborhood. This became known by Victoria as her "stroller car" and she preferred it over her regular stroller! This Christmas, Santa brought Victoria a big girl tricycle (that can also be pushed until she masters the pedals) since she was getting too big for the car.

While we were in Spartanburg, we decided to see how Mary Pat like the "stroller car". As you can see from the pictures below and at this link, she absolutely LOVED it! We took the girls on a few walks while in their respective modes of transportation and they had a great time. Mary Pat made sure to keep her eye on Victoria to make sure that she didn't get too far away from her.

Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy are going to have to invest in a "stroller car" for Mary Pat to have at home!

The silly cousins are ready for a walk!

Eating & Playing at Nana's House

We had a wonderful time at Nana's house in Spartanburg over the long weekend. Mary Pat got to spend quality time with Nana, big cousin Victoria, and all of her aunts and uncles! Victoria loved showing Mary Pat all of her old "baby toys" and Mary Pat had a great time playing with each of them.
Victoria was also a big girl helper all weekend and loved to feed her "baby cousin"! not only did Mary Pat get to enjoy being fed by her Nana and Victoria, but she also got to sit in a "big girl" high chair at multiple restaurants and ride in the seat part of a shopping cart for the first time.
Here are a few pictures from the early part of our visit. More to come in additional posts!!

Playing with the fun aquarium toy that Nana had! Mary Pat loved the lights and music almost as much as the various parts she could chew on. The exersaucer at Nana's house provided much enjoyment for Mary Pat as well! She was especially mesmerized by the mirror.Victoria was a big help feeding Mary Pat! And Mary Pat loved the extra big bites that Victoria gave her!

9 Months Old!!

Mary Pat is 9 months old today and boy how time is flying by! She loves to laugh and to play with anything she can get her hands on. We just got back from a wonderful long weekend at Nana's house in SC where Mary Pat got to play with her big cousin Victoria, play with MANY new toys and took her first dip in the swimming pool! Of course there was also plenty of snuggle time with Nana, Aunt Shay Baby, Uncle Knox, Leenie, Moe and many others. Mommy is trying to get pictures from the weekend uploaded so check back for updates!

MISS YOU ALREADY NANA!!

Mary Pat loved all of the new toys and Victoria had fun showing them all to her.

The two cousins had a great time together all weekend!

I loved my float in the pool!

Crawling Update

Mary Pat is still in the process of figuring out how to crawl. She is able to get up on all fours and moves backwards very well but has yet to accomplish any forward motion. However, she can now go from laying down to sitting up all by herself and sitting seems to be her preferred position. Enjoy some pictures from our visit with Aunt Amy and cousins Emily (who Mommy somehow didn't get any pictures of) and Patrice last Saturday.

Being Silly with Mommy & Daddy

Mary Pat is full of funny faces and silly noises. She loves when Mommy and Daddy get on the floor to play with her. She has started to try and climb up on people (Like Mommy & Daddy) and things (like her crib) and loves to grab at faces and jewelry. Mommy has almost been strangled by her necklace and Daddy has been hit with toys and had his eyes poked out. Of course when we try to tell her to stop she laughs and keeps it up. I think we have a wild one on our hands!

Her favorite silly face! Here are more pictures.

The Amazing Exersaucer!

Here is a short video of Mary Pat having a blast in her exersaucer! She loves to throw herself around while playing in it and to chew on each toy.

Trying Out the Sippy Cup

We are trying to get Mary Pat to use a sippy cup, especially at night after she eats dinner. So far she only likes to chew on the cup and get easily distracted by other things on her high chair tray as you can see from the pictures below!

We have multiple sippy cups for her to choose from!

She likes to hold on the the cup, but chew on her teething foot.

The foot is her favorite teething toy.

Play Time!

Mary Pat loves to play. Whether she is on her play mats in the den or in her exersaucer, she loves talking, shaking her toys and of course putting everything in her mouth! We try to rotate her toys so there is something "new" every few days and she get so excited when she sees something "new" to chew on! Also, while Mommy is cooking dinner and while Mommy and Daddy are eating Mary Pat keeps herself very entertained in the exersaucer! She loves to twirl herself around and try to eat EVERY toy on it! Below are a few pictures of play time and more can be found here.

I LOVE my ball and try to get the jingle bell out of the middle!
This toy has many fun parts to suck on! Can you see the slobber on my shirt?

The NY Met Twins

Can you tell who dressed Mary Pat?

Big Girl Bath Time!

Now that Mary Pat is sitting up completely on her own, we have upgraded from the baby bathtub to a bath seat in the big bathtub. At first she was a little confused, but quickly began splashing around, playing with her toys, and having a great time.

Happy Spring!

So far we are enjoying the few spring days that have come our way! Mary Pat is growing by the day and is "wowing" us with many new tricks. She is sitting up like a pro and is really trying to crawl. She manages to get up on all fours and can even move herself backwards but has not had any luck moving forward just yet. Mommy and Daddy still need to baby proof the house so we are hoping she doesn't start moving too soon!
Mary Pat has also had TWO teeth poke through! There were about two weeks where she wasn't sleeping through the night, but luckily those days seem to have passed with this round of teeth. She is constantly chewing on pretty much anything she can get into her mouth and has been enjoying Gerber puffs while Mommy and Daddy eat dinner.
Here are a few pictures of the past few weeks. More to come soon!
