Park Video

We took a small video of Mary Pat at the park a couple of weeks ago. Sorry for the shaky quality (it was taken on our digital camera) and for Mommy's annoying commentary!

7 Months Old!

Mary Pat is 7 months old today! She is getting bigger by the minute and is almost sitting on her own. Every day brings something new and exciting for all three of us! Sticking out her tongue is her favorite thing to do right now. We're not sure if she knows what she is doing or if it just feels good on her gums, either way it's cute. Daddy likes to sing her the "I Wanna Be Like Mike" song since he compares this new "trick" to Michael Jordan. Mommy thought he was crazy until Mary Pat's doctor made the exact same comparison!
Last Sunday the weather was nice so we decided to take a walk to the park near our house. Mary Pat went for a ride on the swings both alone (in the baby swing) and with Mommy and Daddy. She loved it! However, her favorite thing at the park was going down the slide with Daddy. We can't wait for the weather to stay warm consistently so that we can have many more fun afternoons enjoying the park! Here are many more pictures.

Mary Pat's First Artwork

Mary Pat has been very busy at school making many art projects. Last week, we got to take the first one of these projects home and proudly display it on the refrigerator. Mommy and Daddy are a little biased, but these might be the cutest shamrocks that we have ever seen! A close up of the beautiful shamrocks!

Big High Chair and More St. Patty's Day

Over the past week or so we have been putting Mary Pat in her big high chair at home to eat and to play while we cook dinner and eat. She loves to sit in the chair and it holds her attention very well while she's eating so it's easier (and less messy!) to feed her. However, as you can see, our petite little Mary Pat looks very small in such a gigantic chair!

Here are some more pics including our St. Patrick's Day "photo shoot"

Mary Pat Sits in the Family High Chair

On Sunday we stopped by Aunt Eileen's house to thank her for watching Mary Pat so many times while Shannon was looking for a job and Mary Pat got to sit in the same high chair that her daddy did so many years ago. Here she is with her Aunt Mo Mo and enjoying the high chair.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Irish eyes were smiling yesterday as Mary Pat celebrated her first St. Patrick's Day! She was our little leprechaun, smiling and talking up a storm while she looked for Timothy. As you can see from the pictures below, Mary Pat made many wardrobe changes yesterday and was the best dressed Irish girl at day care! Being silly before school, while Mommy tries to take pictures.

Mary Pat's 2nd Irish outfit of the day. She didn't last too long in the dress at school!
Time for bed in her St. Patty's Day pajamas!

More pictures to come.........

Meet the Mets...Meet the Mets...

....Mary Pat got to meet Mr. Met! It was a busy but great weekend as the temperature finally creeped above freezing for two consecutive days. On Saturday morning we got to meet Mr. Met at Roosevelt Field mall. If you look closely you'll notice that Daddy and Mary Pat both have on matching Mr. Met t-shirts. We then took a trip up to Fordham for the last basketball game of the season (with three wins on the season the Rams are not on Bubble Watch). Afterwards, we walked around New York's real Little Italy (in the Bronx) for some of the best pizza in the city at a small shop in the Arthur Avenue Market and THE best pastries in the world at Egidio on 187th Street.
On Sunday we went to Mary Pat's first parade, with a name like her's it was appropriately a St. Patty's Day parade in Huntington. We were a little nervous that all the hullabaloo might scare her but as you can see in the pictures (here is a link to a few more) our little lady leprechaun loved every second of it.

One of Mary Pat's many Irish outfits!

Enjoying the parade from Daddy's shoulders.

Watching the parade go by.

A Sick Couple of Weeks

Mary Pat has been battling a horrible cough and ear infection for the past couple of weeks. Luckily the cough is finally gone and the antibiotics seem to be working on the ear! During this time we have had to use a nebulizer with Mary Pat to help with her cough. Well, she loves the breathing treatments and thinks of it as more of a game than medicine.
In addition to all the new medicine Mary Pat has been introduced to over the past couple of weeks we have also added veggies to her daily routine. She was not a big fan of squash but LOVES sweet potatoes. We are going to try carrots today so it will be interesting to see her reaction to those!

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks (and even some leftovers from Victoria's last visit!).
