Happy Father's Day!

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend spent out on eastern Long Island visiting Big Papa and Pat. On Saturday, we decided to walk around Port Jefferson (near the water) and look at all the boats. Once it started to rain we headed to the outlet mall before ending up at Papa & Pat's house. After a great dinner with Papa & Pat, we went back to their house to play with Aunt Michelle, Jocelyn, Noelle and Keira who had stopped by for a visit. Mary Pat LOVED playing with her cousins and can't wait until she is a little more mobile so she can chase after Keira.

On Sunday morning, Papa made Mary Pat a scrambled egg try for the first time. As you can see in the pictures below (and at this link), the jury's still out on whether or not she actually liked it!Mary Pat and Big Papa.

A Walk on the Beach

On Sunday we decided to take Mary Pat for her first walk on the beach. Although it was a beautiful day, there was a bit of a breeze and it was not really warm enough to be considered pool or beach weather. Therefore, we decided to go to Jones Beach which has a boardwalk that we could walk along without having sand blown in our faces. After a bit of a walk so Mary Pat could take a nap, we decided to take her to the beach right off the boardwalk and let her put her feet in the sand.
Mary Pat LOVED the sand! She could not get enough of it. She loved digging her feet into the sand almost as much as she loved people watching! We cannot wait for it to get hot enough so we can take Mary Pat closer to the ocean for a full beach day sometime soon! Here is a link to more pictures from the day as well as a few below.

Daddy loved these signs posted along the boardwalk.

Family Photo

Mary Pat's cousins, Emily and Patrice, were baptized two weeks ago. We took this opportunity to take some family photos since all three of us were dressed in our "Sunday best"! Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of the actual christening since Chuck was one of the Godfathers and I had my hands full with Mary Pat.
Thanks for making my pretty dress Nana!! Mary Pat doesn't like to smile in pictures with Mommy.

Playing with new friends

A few weekends ago we went to Huntington for a wonderful party celebrating Kelly's birthday! Daddy had a great time at Kelly and Kevin's house playing horseshoes and badminton and Mary Pat and Mommy loved playing in the grass. Mary Pat also got a chance to play with her friend Claire (our friends Dave and Celia's baby) who is just a few weeks younger than her. The two girls had a great time with each other chewing on toys, trying to crawl and staring at one another. We look forward to many more play dates with Claire in the future. Here are many more pictures from the day.

Morning in the Crib

Every morning when Mary Pat wakes up, Mommy or Daddy give her a few toys so she can play while we finish getting ready for work. This morning when I went in to check on her she had a nice pile of toys, but was having the most fun with her paci!

Mary Pat's 1st Trip to the Pool!

Mary Pat had another first while we were in Spartanburg. She went into the pool for the 1st time! At first she didn't know what to think of the water, but once she was lounging in her float she LOVED it! She just totally chillaxed! She was also not bothered by her sun gear at all. She loved the bathing suit and seemed content wearing her hat and sunglasses the whole time we were in the water.
While Mommy and Mary Pat stayed in the baby pool where the water was warmer, Victoria wowed Uncle Chuck with her swimming skills in the big pool as you can see here! She is becoming quite the little fish and did a great job keeping her head above water (since she just had tubes put in her ears)! All in all, it was a wonderful way to end our trip. We miss everyone already!!!

Ready to head to Hillbrook Pool!

Swinging & Sliding with Victoria!

While we were in Spartanburg, Mary Pat got to go to the park near Nana's house with Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Victoria, and Aunt Shawn. She had a great time swinging with Victoria (who is so skinny that she still fits in the baby swings!) and watching her run around. Victoria had a great time "racing" Uncle Chuck and Baby Cousin down the slide! Many more pictures can be found here.
Away we go!!!
The two cousins loved staring at each other as they were swinging!

Mary Pat especially loved when Victoria started making silly faces!

Cousin Play Time!

Mary Pat and Victoria had a wonderful time playing together while we were in Spartanburg! Victoria was such a great big cousin and helped show Mary Pat how to play with all of the toys Nana had pulled out. Here are a few more pictures from the weekend including some cousin "photo sessions", Mary Pat (and Daddy's) first trip to the Lake Bowen Fish Camp, and lunch with Auntie Moe, Brittany and Megan at Fuddruckers.

Mary Pat figured out how to put this in her mouth all by herself!
