Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we headed out to eastern Long Island to pick some pumpkins! It was a beautiful fall day and the patch was not very crowded. Mary Pat LOVED seeing all the pumpkins and helped Daddy pick a few. She also helped Mommy and Michael watch over all the pumpkins after Daddy picked them. After visiting the patch we stopped by a few farm stands on our way back home. It was a great day and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Before we left, Michael was not very into the picture taking.

Trying to get a good picture outside the pumpkin patch. You can see this goal was not achieved.

Michael's Christening

On Sunday, October 17th we had Michael's Christening at our church, St. Anne's. We were very lucky to have all of Mommy and Daddy's immediate family on hand for the event as well as a few other aunts, uncles and friends! We were especially happy that Mommy's cousin "Uncle Jordan" and Daddy's sister "Aunt Michelle" were able to be Michael's godparents.

After the church service we had a party back at our house and got very lucky to have a beautiful(and warm) fall day to celebrate! It was definitely much different from the weather at MaryPat's christening. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day! A special thanks to Nana, Victoria, Aunt Shay, Uncle Knox, Aunt Shawnie, Uncle Jordan, Poppy and Mimi for flying up to spend the weekend with us (especially since Mary Pat was sick and whiny!). We had a great time and can't wait to see y'all again soon! MANY more pictures here.

School Pictures 2010

A few weeks ago the kids had "picture day" at school. This year they surprised the parents and did sibling photos as well as individual and class photos. Needless to say, Mommy is in love with all of these pictures and will be buying as many copies as she can!
The little man was very happy to have his picture taken!
Doesn't she look big?! I love her little hands!
Mary Pat's class. A little boy started the week after this picture was taken. She is next to her buddy Alyssa.
Michael's class. He's sitting on his head teacher's lap next to his buddy John. John is now the youngest in the class and is two weeks younger than Michael. They are pals!

Anyone Want Some Bread?

While Nana was here for Michael's Christening, she decided that Michael was big enough (at six months) to sit like a big boy in a highchair while we were at a restaurant. She also decided that he looked hungry and might like part of a roll (although he has no teeth). As you can see from these two pictures, he LOVED gumming the roll and was terrified that someone was going to take it away from him. Haha! That night at dinner Michael also tried one of Victoria's noodles and one of Uncle Jordan's french fries. Needless to say, he loved them all! More Christening pictures to come shortly.

Meeting Antonia Taboas!

A few weeks ago we went to visit our good friends the Taboas family! Alex and Daddy are friends from their college days at Fordham and have held season tickets to Fordham basketball for years. Mommy has become great friends with Alex's wife Taty and we were thrilled when they had a baby girl in July! It was wonderful to finally meet precious Antonia and enjoy a wonderful lunch catching up with Alex and Taty. Mary Pat loved seeing a little baby and was so sweet holding Antonia's hands. We can't wait to watch all of our kids grow up together! Here are a few more pictures.

Fall Fun at the Park!

We have been enjoying many beautiful fall days here on Long Island. A few Saturdays ago we took advantage of the nice weather and took the kids to the park after their naps. Michael had a GREAT time swinging and going down the slide for the first time. Mary Pat showed us how big she is getting by going to down "big girl slide" all by herself and swinging on the big kid swings. Of course, she also had a lot of fun playing with Michael on the baby swings! We had a great afternoon and can't wait to do it again soon. Enjoy the pictures!
